My New Year's resolutions mostly come down to two goals: consuming consciously and trying to become my best self, sustainably.
Every January, social media is flooded with people making promises, pledges and manifestations for the year ahead - from running a marathon, to following dietary fads - all in the name of self improvement.
While there's absolutely nothing wrong with working towards these goals, sometimes it can be overwhelming for those who feel as if they, too, have to hop on the bandwagon.
Although exciting and full of promise for many, the weight of a new year can hang heavily on the shoulders of others. Overpromising and under-delivering can result in even lower self esteem, slashing hopes of a fresh start and often leaving those who fall short of their own expectations at square one.
Everyone is different, and what is attainable for some may be completely unattainable for others, but that doesn't mean you can't treat each new year as a fresh start, a clean slate, and an opportunity for positive change - no matter how big or small the undertaking.
This year, instead of one major resolution, I created a list of small, adaptable changes and improvements across areas of my life that hold value to me.
I believe, if consciously actioned throughout 2025, these will help me reach my goals in a sustainable, healthy and fulfilling way.
I included some links to a few of my favourite accounts, books, podcasts, products and businesses relevant to each of my goals - maybe you'll find something to get on board with, that makes sense for you, too.

Top tip: Set goals that complement eachother. For example, spending more time in nature (grounding) will be a low-cost social activity (spending) that helps me work towards 10,000 steps (fitness).
