Hybrid car sales in Ireland have seen a significant increase. According to recent data, new plug-in hybrid car sales doubled in January 2025 compared to January 2024. The Central Statistics Office (CSO) reported that the number of new plug-in hybrid private cars licensed for the first time in January 2025 increased by 100%.
Renaults Symbioz hybrid SUV has the combination of improved economy and modularity but you sit on rather than in the drivers seat and there's not much in the way of adjustability. The rest of the cabin has made good use of the modular space and is better for versatility.
The infotainment system is very easy to use and works well once paired with Apple Carplay/Android Auto. Nipping at the heels of the Symbioz, the competition is cheaper and more comfortable but lacks the style & build quality of the Renault.
